GARCIA AND GAMECOCKS STILL FOCUSED ....

With so much to go over, it looks like the gamecocks will spend some extra time this week in the film room. The OBC will look for answers to the Special teams issues and get ready to prepare for this weeks home opener. Special teams coaches plan to make some changes in the gunner position, with Norwood likely back in on Special teams. Spurrier says LeCorn should see some action on Kickoffs as well.

Quarterback Steven Garcia took the loss hard, feeling that the team was focused and ready to take care of Georgia. His performance was much improved from the first game against NC State, but there were several plays he wished he could do over. There were two or three series where running lanes opened and closed so quickly that Garcia felt he wasn't able to get out of the pocket, but couldn't stand in there very long either.

"We were ready for just about everything Georgia threw at us. The kickoff returns were frustrating, but they just beat us to the corners". - S. Garcia on the game.
