KC Chief Rookie Kicker Ryan Succop (USC-2008) has parlayed his 256th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft into a very good rookie contract and the likely starting spot on NFL Opening Day 2009. He is expected to do the PK and the FG kicking, but it is unsure if he has the reaction speed to handle punting in the NFL, yet. Insiders say that Succop has been working all Summer to get an edge on his competition.
