It's one day until we find out if our Gamecocks have learned anything over this off season. By all accounts we have overcome most of the obstacles that have plagued the Gamecocks over the past few years. The O_line and D-line are still works in progress but getting better.
With a stable of backs (Giles, Maddox, Sherman, DiMarco & Miles) that may see action on Thursday, Coach Spurrier is in an unfamiliar dilemma. he ability to set up the pass with the run is back on Spurrier and the coaches minds.
"We have two slashers in the backfield, but you know I don't favor slashers, and we have a really good idea of how we are going to be able to use Maddox and DiMarco to set-up the running game"-Steve Spurrier.
At receiver, we have a multitude of potential stars if everyone gels together with the plays we will run. Look for Barnes, Moore, LeCorn and White to be in the mix.

I dont think we will beat NCST by much, but the offense should do enough.
ReplyDeleteIn a conference like the SEC, I still believe that all USC can hope for is at best a 6 or maybe 7 win season. USC, along with Clemson, have the same problem every single year......
ReplyDeleteExpectations clash with reality and the flaws never seem to get taken care of.
